HOMEWORK DUE 3/8 A-days and 3/11 B-days
Students are asked to log 10 household items and where they were manufactured. We started in class with shoes, backpacks, and sweatshirts. additional items like electronics, plates and wood products will make for an interesting class discussion on globalization and natural resources.

African Country Presentations
3rd Quarter-Spring 2019
This assignment will consist of an oral presentation and slide-deck (Google Slides) presentation. The oral presentation should highlight specific points of interest for the assigned country. Each slide should contain one or more image and 2-3 key talking points that correspond to the image. Below are the required slides, these should be prepared/delivered in the order below.
SLIDE 1: Country name, student name and period, and an image or map of the country
SLIDE 2: History of the country, from imperialism, to independence including dates
SLIDE 3: Primary source of income, including value (examples: natural resources, tourism etc.)
SLIDE 4: Per Capita Income, include types of jobs/careers and annual salary
SLIDE 5: Problem areas for the country (is it disease, civil war, corruption)
SLIDE 6: Life expectancy, education level, and two largest cities and populations
SLIDE 7: Tourist destination point(s), what to see when in this country
SLIDE 8: Student choice, identify and explain an area of interest regarding your country
SLIDE 9: Student choice #2, identify another area of importance or interest
